The Beam Bed designed by Ewan Robertson for Lago Studio. The design is inspired by the sun which is a figure simplicity and beauty. The base of the bed is constructed by boards that are carefully positioned in an arrangement in order to create a light shadow effect when the lighting system is added.
In many ways, the sunburst under the bed creates an unfamiliar and alienated feel. But it is also a unique addition to a room with its glow of warmth and protection acting like a built in night light. Although it is a light up bed, the soft glow of the beam is still able to allow a good night’s sleep.
